KVARTYRNYK #9
KVARTYRNYK #9.
In every creative cycle, there comes a moment of cleansing — when the old settles, the new begins to take shape, and between them a space for rethinking opens. The evening is subtly marked by the number 18, which in mystical tradition is associated with life, renewal, and liberation from the weight of what has passed.
In this last edition before Christmas break, we invite a movement from structure to impulse, from word to sound, from introspection to presence — a path of inner purification through art.
PROGRAM:
20:00 Book Presentation by Andrew Yero
Andrew Yero is a Ukrainian researcher and educator, and the author of the book Foundations of Human Behavior. For many years, he has conducted trainings and educational programs in Ukrainian, and is now beginning to work with an English-speaking audience. When studying any subject, the structure of knowledge is crucial: without it, individual insights fail to stay in memory and are quickly forgotten. That is why this presentation will focus on the most essential element — a reliable framework for exploring human behavior.
20:20 Reading by Armin Schrötter
Born in Graz and based in Vienna, painter Armin Schrötter returns to the stage as a writer. After a long pause in public readings, he will share a selection of older and recent poems.
20:45-21:00 Intermission
21.00 Poetry performance by Katrin Schnellriede
For the second time on our stage, Katrin Schnellrieder presents a new program of poems written from the thresholds: between love and collapse, the city’s pulse and the hush of solitude, the glow of the screen and the warmth of a human touch.
Her language is raw, rhythmic, and unvarnished — words that resist perfection and instead seek presence. On stage she opens up the text until it feels, vibrates, breathes. Under @gurkerlundkunst, she shares fragments and questions that push against the polished surface of daily life, offering poetry as a form of cleansing fire — a return to the essence of feeling.
21:20 Live Music Performance by Daryna Kryvosheia
Using Ableton Live as the core of her setup, Daryna Kryvosheia blends a MIDI keyboard, vocal effects, and hardware synthesizer into an immersive soundscape. Singing live, she weaves dark synth textures with industrial elements, creating an alternative electronic atmosphere.
