KVARTYRNYK at Ateliertheater
KVARTYRNYK at Ateliertheater WIEN is a monthly cultural event that brings the intimate and informal atmosphere of a traditional Ukrainian „kvartyrnyk“ to one of Vienna’s most iconic theaters. The event offers Ukrainian artists the opportunity to showcase their creative works, including theater, film, music, poetry, performance, and stand-up comedy.
At the first event on October 24, 2024, the evening will feature the film „WOUNDED“, a powerful artistic documentary directed by Marta Pysanko and Mykhailo Mastierovyi. The film, based on a stage play by Pysanko, explores the emotional experiences of Ukrainians affected by war through real stories, modern poetry, and songs. „WOUNDED“ portrays the resilience of refugees, blending documentary filmmaking with artistic expression, and seeks to foster empathy and understanding of the refugee experience.

This unique collaboration blends gothic punk with poetry, creating an atmospheric and unconventional fusion of sound and words.
